Walk along ancient tracks and through fields to enjoy fine views across the rolling north Chilterns countryside. In the village of Lilley, pass attractive red brick cottages sporting the silver lion plaques of the Sowerby family. The leader will comment about the area's history, farming and geology along the 5 mile circular route.

Park at Inspire: Luton Sports Village, Butterfield Green Road, Off Hitchin Road, Luton, LU2 8DD. Parking is free for up to 4 hours. Meet outside and to the right of the entrance.

Derek Turner Derek Turner has lived and worked in the countryside for most of his life and led walks around the North Chilterns countryside for over 30 years

Public Transport Links

Bus routes 100 and 101 between Luton, Hitchin and Stevenage pass every 30 minutes.

Further Information

Walkers may use the toilets and cafe before or after the walk
