Nordic Walking is a fantastic way to turn a simple walk into full body exercise - and we get all the wellness benefits of exercise in the Great Outdoors, too! This fun, engaging 2.5 hr workshop is about learning and developing the correct Nordic Walking technique under the EXPERT guidance of British Nordic Walking Instructors, Philippa and Pat. You will then be able to enjoy the benefits of regular Nordic walking activities as part of an active lifestyle. Our session starts on the playground at Shiplake, then we go out on the paths over the fields and through the woods. You will learn the INWA 10-steps of Nordic Walking, and you will be given plenty of support and guidance along the way.
Nordic walking poles will be provided for use during the session (we will also provide advice on the different types of pole and how buy).
You should wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for outdoor exercise (and the British weather!). A small rucksack or bumbag can be useful for water, energy snacks and personal items.
