The Chilterns Walking Festival is part of a month-long Chilterns Celebration running throughout October. This is a brand-new festival of events designed to bring communities together and inspire people to explore and enjoy the heritage and landscape around them. It includes the first ever “Chilterns Champions” conference with special guest speaker Chris Packham, as well as art workshops, an orchard story telling event and a brand new heritage trail. Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel is our prime sponsor for the Chilterns Walking Festival. The hotel is ideally located with lots of walks and rides from the doorstep, including the Ridgeway National Trail, the Icknield Way and the Chilterns Cycleway close by. There are circular walks too taking you up into the beechwoods and the nearby Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve. The Lambert Hotel welcomes walkers and cyclists, it is an ideal stop-off for lunch or tea and is a great touring based for those staying over. The hotel is located near J6 of the M40 and there is a 24 hour bus service (the Oxford Tube)between London and Oxford which stops just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Could this be you? We are seeking additional sponsors to enable the festival to continue going from strength to strength - get in touch with AWeiss@chilternsaonb.org if you'd like to know more!
