Introduction to Navigation - find your way in the Great Outdoors! (2402)

Thursday 21 May ~ 10:00 AM

Open your eyes to a whole new world! This inspiring one day course is a great introduction to map reading and the navigation skills you need to enjoy a great walk in the countryside without reliance on a phone app. We help you to make sense of the map and gain the confidence to plan and follow an interesting route along recognised paths and tracks. Our day starts with tea/coffee in the Village Cafe, Goring, learning how to get the most out of our maps and to introduce the compass. Mid morning we set off to navigate a walk and develop your knowledge and skills - map & compass provided and you will receive plenty of expert guidance and tips as we go. We return to the cafe to sum up the day.
