A circular walk taking in the beautiful Chiltern landscapes around Henley on Thames. See some of the more eccentric landmarks and learn about who lives here. You are likely to see Red Kites and other wildlife, historic trees, far reaching views. Route includes some hills and varied terrain. Nordic walkers and walkers without poles all welcome.

Meeting arrangements

Meet at Henley Railway station RG9 1AY. Parking available in the station car park or other town car parks. Charges may apply in some car parks

Walk Leader

Anthea Osborn-Jones. A Foot in the Chilterns offers guided walks, Nordic Walks and accredited Nordic Walking instruction in and around around Henley on Thames. A regular programme of Nordic walks is available or bespoke itineraries can be arranged. Nordic walking can also be provided for those with limited mobility led by an occupational therapist.

Trains to Henley on Thames. Bus services to Henley from High Wycombe, Reading and Oxford

Suitable for older children who are able to walk 9-10 miles at a moderate pace

Route is mainly on footpaths and not accessible to buggies and mobility scooters. No stiles. Some uneven terrain

Further Information

Some fairly steep hills and uneven terrain. Refreshments available in Henley but none en route
