A beautiful walk alongside the Grand Union Canal, 2 of its arms and past the lakes built specially to supply them with water. There should be lots of wildlife along the way. Optional refreshments afterwards at the Bluebells Tearooms. Walk leader Andrew Clark.
Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for the conditions, water, snacks and simple first aid kit.
The Chiltern Society is dedicated to protecting 650 square miles of woodlands and valleys, including London's closest designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust is the leading voice for wildlife conservation across Hertfordshire and Middlesex. With volunteers, we manage a network of nature reserves covering nearly 2,000 acres, from beautiful wetlands and woodlands to rare patches of heath and orchard. We take practical action every day to help wildlife flourish.
Complete Outdoors are our primary sponsors for 2018 & 2019. At their Bourne End (Herts) shop, you will discover all of the equipment, clothing and accessories you need to launch your next expedition into the great outdoors - whether a day's hike close to home, or an assault on the Matterhorn.
Could this be you? We are seeking additional sponsors to enable the festival to continue going from strength to strength - get in touch with AWeiss@chilternsaonb.org if you'd like to know more!
