Chess Valley Challenge 2019

Join us for a beautiful self guided Challenge walk through the Chess Valley and help raise funds for the Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust. Discover the beautiful River Chess, walk through our stunning Frogmore Meadow Nature Reserve and explore lovely old villages and country pubs.


Route Details

Choice of 4 miles, 6 miles or 10 miles
Fairly easy (some gentle inclines, steps/stiles)

Train to Rickmansworth to start, return from Chorleywood, Chalfont & Latimer or Chesham stations

Family Friendly

Opt for a shorter walk by stopping off at Chorleywood Station (4 miles) or Chalfont & Latimer Station (6 miles) making this Challenge walk suitable for all the family.

Further Information

Details of the route, where to stop for breaks and alternative shorter routes will be sent in your registration pack on registering. Participants will be responsible for their own well-being and are recommended to bring a first aid kit, plenty of water and refreshments. There are several nearby pubs en route, but no additional toilet provision will be available.

Return transport from Chesham to Rickmansworth by train is at the participant's own cost (£1.60)
