Explore beautiful 'Golden Valley', landscaping created by Capability Brown in the 17th Century, discover a woodland of wild garlic & the old icehouse of Ashridge House, near Berkhamsted. Suitable for Nordic walkers with poles, or for 'normal' walkers without poles! Poles can be borrowed on the day if needed.

Park at the BEGINNING of the drive up to the Bridgewater Monument in the NT Ashridge Estate, just off the B4506, approx postcode HP4 1LX

Family Friendly

The walk is not directly aimed at children, but they are very welcome, as long as they can walk the distance. All terrain buggies should be fine.

Ashridge Visitor Centre, toilets and café on site. The walk will be up to 2hrs but allow time for tea & cake at the cafe afterwards. The walk can be done with or without poles.
