Expert seasonal foraging and wood fired cooking in our beautiful mature woodlands in Oxfordshire. Walk through the woods with trained herbalist and forager Justine Gens of Secret Adventures, learning to identify and forage plants in the woods and open glades. Gather wood from the woodland floor, light a campfire and cook over an open fire.

Join a guided walk of historic Amersham

Renowned for its Christian martyrs' burned for their beliefs, successful black lace industry and perhaps on a more frivolous note, a perfumery, this is a town of two halves: the modern town on the hill and its medieval twin in the valley below. Join one of Amersham Museum's popular guided walks for a fascinating insight into Amersham past and present. All walks start from the Museum and must be pre-booked.

Chilterns Open Air Museum COAM is home to 30 reconstructed and restored buildings from the local area. Three Chilterns countryside experiences days with a difference are available: from the physical exertions of the blacksmiths forge, to the ancient craft of willow weaving and sculpture, and the niche craft of working with straw. Whilst all the tutors are highly knowledgeable and experienced, you don’t need to be!

Bushcraft with David Willis

Connect with nature

David offers wilderness living skills, nature connection and woodland crafts on scheduled courses throughout the year, with activities to suit all ages, abilities and needs. He teaches small groups of just four participants that he knows works well as these provide a more personable woodland experience, with a good balance of instruction and guidance.
