Cookley Green Circular

Starts Cookley Green goes via Swyncombe, along The Ridgeway National Trail, on to Greenfield, Pishill Bottom and Russell's Water then back to Cookley Green. An undulating walk, over lovely country side, with the possibility of seeing bluebells.

Meeting arrangements

Park by/behind bus stop in Cookley Green GR SU 695901. Walkers need to be at the starting point early enough to have time to park, get ready and meet with the leader before the start of the walk at the time stated.

Not accessible for wheel chairs, buggies etc. Terrain is normal countryside so good footwear required to cope with undulating paths and possible mud.

Bring picnic lunch.

All welcome who can walk comfortably at a rate of 2.5 miles an hour for about 4 hours. The route has a total ascent of about 1043 feet with the lowest point about 436 and the highest 754 feet.

This walk is open to all - you do not have to be a Ramblers member.

Insurance note: if you are not a Ramblers member, but have previously done 3 'taster' walks with the Ramblers, you MUST contact after booking, for insurance purposes.

If you are a Ramblers member you do not have to book online and can just join at the time of the of the walk.
